Rebuilds & Re-Cores

New internals in your existing housing — often restoring full performance at a fraction of replacement cost.

Rebuilds & re-cores

The Housing Is Usually the Part Worth Keeping

A dust collector housing is heavy steel with a long life. What wears out is everything inside it — tubesheet, cages, media, valves, and discharge equipment. When those reach end of life together, replacement gets quoted, and it is often the wrong answer.

A re-core replaces the internals within your existing housing: new tubesheet, new cages, new media, rebuilt cleaning system, and refurbished discharge. Done properly, it restores original performance for a fraction of new equipment cost, without a foundation, without re-routing duct, and usually within a planned outage.

It is not always the right answer. Where the housing has corroded structurally, or where the original sizing was wrong for the duty, a rebuild puts new components into a system that will underperform again. A site assessment tells you which case you are in.

Scope

What a Re-Core Includes

New tubesheet

Replacement tubesheet cut and fitted to the housing, eliminating the leakage paths that develop as holes wear oval.

Cages and media

New cages and filter media specified against current process conditions — not necessarily what was there before.

Cleaning system rebuild

Diaphragm valves, solenoids, manifold, and timer replaced or rebuilt as required.

Discharge refurbishment

Rotary airlock and hopper equipment overhauled or replaced.

Re-specification

Where the original sizing was marginal, the rebuild is the moment to correct media selection and cleaning parameters.

Protection retrofit

Where a DHA requires it, explosion protection can often be added during a re-core.

The Housing Was Worth Keeping

Consolidation and re-core rather than wholesale replacement, with bag life up roughly 50%.
